COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP PROGRAMME

Raising leaders from the community, for the community.

We believe those who have walked the path to healing
and restoration are the best people to take healing and restoration to their communities.

Our Community Leadership Programme works to:

  • Empower people from the community who are overcoming adversity and who have untapped leadership potential, helping them find their purpose and unique strengths/gifts.

  • Equip people in every area of their lives, building character, skills, and inner resources so people can lead from a place of wellness, giving back to their community using their life experiences and unique strengths to help make a difference in the lives of others.

  • Provide opportunities for people to lead, volunteer, share their stories, and serve the community to help bring about change.

Each phase takes a year with fortnightly sessions running from February to November and a graduation celebration in December. Every session begins with a shared meal - good kai is very important!

“I got so much out of the (CLP) programme.  I now know my calling, and that’s to work with the community in the area of inmates being released from prison, that I have an opportunity to connect with through my past. My past as an ex-gang member, a person of unforgiveness, drug addiction, depression, and quite a few other things. But those have become skills I can use to help those people.”
